2012 Pheasants and Quail Forever State Meeting

2012 Ohio Pheasants and Quail Forever State Meeting

This year the State Meeting will be bringing a new feel and energy to the Ohio landscape. For starters the meeting will be held January 21st at the Howard-Johnson in Lima, Ohio. Along with this change there will be a whole new setup to the meeting portion. During the day we will still hold several general sessions like we have in the past, but we will also be including breakout sessions in the agenda. This will allow members to have a choice in what they want to hear about, as well as helping to break up the day. Some of the proposed breakout sessions include but aren't limited to, Edge Habitat Talk, Predator/Prey Discussion, Bird Dog Health Care, Wild Game Cooking Demo, and a Tutorial to OMR/Chapter Portal just to name a few. The meeting will be opened to the public and we currently have a block of rooms available for both the nights of the 20th and 21st at $67 a night so make sure you book early, please mention the Pheasants Forever State Meeting to receive this rate. To book please call the Howard-Johnson at 419-222-0004, and for more information on the meeting please contact Charlie at 614-632-8393.

Beaver Wildlife Area

Pheasants Forever Beaver Wildlife Area Open For Hunting

Starting last fall the Beaver Wildlife Area, located just west of Marion, Ohio, was open for public hunting. This project was brought to you via many partnerships, and is a great example of using chapter funds at the state level. It is Ohio Pheasants and Quail Forever's goal to continue to purchase properties such as this, and continue to open land up to public hunting. Please view the map below if you are interested in visiting the property or contact Charlie Payne at 614-632-8393 for more information about the Beaver Wildlife Area.
